About the Event
G A L S for SAMH are a bunch of seriously talented and amazing young ladies, all providing their incredible talents and time for a night of diverse music; raising money for SAMH (Scottish Association for Mental Health).
Facts from the Going to Be report by SAMH;
-"Half of mental health problems in adulthood begin before the age of 14
-By the time they’re 16, roughly 3 children in every class will have experienced a mental health problem.
-And thousands will struggle to get the help they need.
-Over 7,000 young people were turned away from CAMHS
services in the last year. That’s 19 young people every
-When it comes to finding help for your mental health, only
a quarter of young people know where to go.
-There are more than 900,000 children and young people
who live in Scotland."

We have two parts to this event;
Please join us for a busking open mic/jam at the top of Buchanan Street down the steps from the Royal Concert Hall, from 1-4pm. We will also have sets from;
-Heather and Jack
As well as a set from our host too!
After that, the mic is open to anyone that wants to get up and do a few songs, so bring your guitars, your tambourine and yersel for a cracking part 1 of
G A L S for SAMH.
For the second part of the event, we will be heading to Nice N Sleazy's for our evening event. Join us for an evening of mixed styles of music as these lovely ladies take to the stage to showcase their talents;
-An originals set from the event's organiser Katie and her band Rough Diamond
-Julie Michelle and Band
-And finally, a classic rock covers set with Rough Diamond and some of the earlier performers, to get you all up and dancing to some fine classic rock tunes into the night! 🤘
We will also have glitter paint and an info table from SAMH providing info, balloons, stickers etc. ✨
Join us for a day and evening packed full of amazing music and talented people doing their bit to raise awareness for Mental Health-let's end the stigma! 🎶
